Bloomax Quilt Sewing Pattern

Bloomax is the perfect snuggly, textured nap quilt. The Bloomax petals have a unique pleat and are needle-turn appliqué attached to the quilt, then topped with a yo-yo. The result is a quilt with abundant texture and weight, making it ideal for napping (unless you sew it on a lawn!).

The Bloomax design embraces more is more – more prints and lots of texture. It’s a scrappy quilter’s delight. For the backgrounds, try using low-volume prints, which would suit fat sixteenths or layer cakes (cut down). For the yo-yos, incorporate a variety of stripes, prints, and spots. And don’t forget to fussy-cut those petals to add extra visual interest.
